Ambassadors

We are very proud to have some awesome ladies on board at Olas. From surfers to environmentalists, our Ocean Tribe all share one thing in common - the love for the outdoors and their playground - the ocean. They're doing all they can to protect it and raise awareness of the plastic crisis. Big up ladies!! Keep on shining...

Dee is a record breaking British Yachtswoman on a mission to fight against plastic.

Dee has sailed around the world five times. She is the first woman to have sailed single-handed and non-stop around the world in both directions and the only woman to have sailed non-stop around the world a total of three times. In 2006 Dee became the first woman to sail solo, non-stop, around the world  against the prevailing winds and currents and was awarded an MBE in recognition of her achievement. She’s not a big deal. She’s a MASSIVE deal and it’s wonderful to have her a part of the Olas Ocean Tribe. Equally wonderful the rest of the crew on board the boat 'Turn the Tide on Plastic' are also supporting and wearing Olas leggings. These wonderhumans are currently taking part in the Volvo Ocean Race whilst raising awareness of the plastic crisis our world oceans are facing. Amazing! Go to Dee's website here.

Cal is a stand up paddle boarder, surfer, ocean lover, environmentalist, SAS representative, vet and founder of Paddle Against Plastic.

Born a Northerner, but now forever a Southwester! Paddle Against Plastic was set up by Cal Major in 2016 as a way to reach people and talk about the issue of plastic pollution. She highlights the importance of recycling and cutting down on plastic by inspiring people as she ventures out on challenging stand up paddle boarding adventures. Cal has previously paddled 260 miles of the entire Cornish coast and circumnavigated the Isle of Skye's 400 miles of coastline. She did this in a bid to bring attention to the problems plastic brings to our oceans. She's pretty bad ass and we blimmin' love her. Go to Cal's website here.

Jen represents strong women, commitment, determination and downright coolness!

Longboarding lady/shortboarding shredder Jen Pen from Newquay certainly knows how to navigate the ocean. With an array of surfing titles to her name, Jen even represented England at the World Longboarding Championships. Her board of choice is always a Seduction, check out their dazzling beauties here. She's rad, down to earth and devoted to the ocean - spending more time in the water than out! She travels the world surfing and sees plastic pollution from different angles, and along with us thinks it's great there is such a movement in England to protect the ocean environment. Now to spread the message worldwide!

Eve is an Environmental Student, Earth Ambassador, Ocean Conservationist.

Eve grew up under the palm trees in Mauritius Island, dancing at sunset and soaking up the sun. She is now a young and happy world traveller, surfer, and Yoga Teacher. She is also an Environmental Student (Sciences Po University in Paris), eco blogger and Earth Ambassador - taking part in important OceanConservation events, conferences, and volunteering worldwide.

Janina Zeitler from Munich, who is still in college at just 17, lives and breathes the ocean.

There's not much choice for waves in Germany, but this hasn't stopped Janina who honed in her surfing skills on city waves - she is fast putting some titles under her belt. Powerful, wonderful and busting out 360 even 720 turns, there's no stopping her. Dreaming of ocean days, when she gets to the water she's in her element. This lady loves the ocean, it's her playground - and she likes to highlight the importance of recycling plastic so it doesn't end up there.
